Our Team

Who We Are

GridLens was founded in 2026 by a team with direct experience of the grid connection problem from the developer's side. We have seen firsthand what it costs — in time, money, and missed opportunities — when developers cannot get clear intelligence about grid capacity and queue status.

Founding Team

Mohammad Almahmood
Co-Founder & CEO
Mohammad Almahmood

Mohammad brings 20+ years in utility-scale renewable EPC, with P&L accountability across international utility-scale projects and hands-on experience as Project Director on major developments. He holds a Master's in Renewable Energy Engineering from Heriot-Watt University. He has made, and watched others make, the exact site decisions GridLens is built to de-risk: committing capital before anyone knew whether the grid could actually deliver. That operator's view of origination, contract negotiation, and project economics shapes what GridLens measures and why.

Focus:Product vision, developer relationships, commercial strategy, and go-to-market.
Munther Odeh
Co-Founder & CTO
Munther Odeh

Munther is a software engineer who specialises in delivering production systems end to end. He has shipped more than 25 full-stack products spanning web applications, data pipelines, and machine learning, and has held engineering roles at Oldenburgische Landesbank (OLB), Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, and EWE AG. He holds a degree in Engineering Physics from Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg. His published research, with over 25 academic citations across machine learning, natural language processing, and applied AI in healthcare, informs the methodology GridLens uses to transform noisy public datasets into scores that developers can rely on.

Focus:Full-stack product and API, NESO and DNO data pipeline architecture, and data quality and reliability.

Our Approach

We believe the UK's clean energy transition is being slowed by information asymmetry. Grid operators and Distribution Network Operators publish the data that developers need — but in formats that require significant technical expertise to interpret and cross-reference. GridLens removes that friction.

We are not consultants. We are not a replacement for professional advice. We are an intelligence layer that makes everyone in the development chain — developers, advisers, lenders — better informed.
